  • The Germany 40 represents the DAX 40 index on City Index. The Germany 40 is comprised of the 40 largest and most liquid German companies registered on the Frankfurt Exchange. Together, these companies represent about 80% of the Frankfurt Exchange’s total market capitalisation, according to the Deutsche Borse Group.

    Many of the companies listed on the Germany 40 are companies that contributed to the “German economic miracle”, the country’s financial rebirth after World War II. Top companies on the Germany 40 include Adidas, Bayer, BMW, Volkswagen, Airbus and Puma.

    Unlike most other indices, the Germany 40 is updated with future prices for the proceeding day.
