EUR/USD stalled by the pair has held up better than both EUR/JPY and EUR/GBP. This article looks at the single currency in three pairs for the week ahead.

It was a strong week for EUR/USD even with the European Central Bank expected to cut rates again at next week’s rate decision.

EUR/USD is back above the 1.1000 level and threatening a larger break. So far the pair has carved out swings around psychological levels and that puts the focus back on 1.1000.

EUR/USD was aggressively bearish into the Q1 open but as the quarter winds to a close it’s been a completely different picture.

EUR/USD has sold off for six days in a row, but is now catching a bounce from the 200-day moving average.

The EUR/USD pair initially reacted to the NFP release with a 0.8% upward move, adding to the more than 4% appreciation seen over the last five trading sessions.

A potential bearish reversal pattern on EUR/JPY I flagged in December could be on the cusp of being confirmed. We just need the bearish follow through.

EUR/USD rallied back to 1.0500 last week as Trump’s reciprocal tariff announcement didn’t evoke much fear. But he also warned that tariffs on autos are coming.

The EUR/USD has risen by more than 1.8% from its low recorded on February 10, when it was holding in the 1.02858 zone.

Recent EUR/USD volatility has been largely driven by uncertainty sparked earlier this week, when the White House announced new trade tariffs. However, after this event, the price has entered a sideways consolidation phase.

Trump tariffs are zeroing in on Europe although there’s still a large amount of uncertainty. The pair responded to the threat with a strong sell-off at the open, that it’s now trying to claw back.
