AUD/CHF

AUD/CHF is the exchange rate for the Australian dollar against the Swiss franc, telling you how many Swiss francs it takes to buy a single Australian dollar. It is considered a ‘cross’ forex pair, as it consists of two major currencies that aren’t paired with the US dollar.

The AUD side of the pair can be heavily influenced by commodity prices, as Australia is a key exporter of iron ore, oil and gold among other natural resources.

CHF, on the other hand, is often seen as a ‘safe haven’ currency by traders – so can rise in times of economic uncertainty, sending AUD/CHF down.
